(Click the image to see the larger version). Hall’s Croft was at one time, the home of Dr John Hall, a physician. He was William Shakespeare’s son-in-law. The famous Victorian authoress Marie Corelli also lived briefly at Hall’s Croft when she first moved to Stratford-upon-Avon.
The types of herbs Dr Hall used for treating his patients are still grown in the herb garden. The house is quite interesting and the garden relatively small but attractive with seating available for resting and enjoying the view across the garden. There is a small cafe on site for refreshments.
