From a Carla Marinucci article at sfgate.com:

Noah Kroloff said: “She’s a very real and normal person who is interested in – and likes – people. She actually cares about them.”

“Napolitano, 55, is no shrinking violet. She tackles her jobs and daily life with gusto, say those who know her. She is an engaging, curious quick-study who has shown an uncanny knack for juggling big bureaucracies, a wide range of responsibilities, and the complex details of policy, while remaining refreshingly ego-free, they say.”

Noah Kroloff: “Washington-watchers are amazed at her engaging, personable style” and “how approachable and down to earth she is.””

Reading these quotations and seeing the images, what is there not to admire? Janet Napolitano is clearly an exceptional person and a wonderful role model for young women.

Footnote

p.s. The only connection I have to Janet Napolitano is a tenuous one. Back January 5th 2000, I contributed to an article in the Arizona Republic newspaper (see below) entitled “See Big Ben as the English Do” at the time when Janet Napolitano was the Attorney General of Arizona. I did say the link was tenuous 🙂
