Swan photographed today in Stratford-upon-Avon. (Click the image to see the larger version).
Swans have been an integral part of Stratford’s scenery since Shakespeare’s time and probably a long before.
Waterside gardens on the banks of the River Avon in Stratford-upon-Avon, provide ample opportunities for sitting and watching the swans, and for feeding them and the Canada geese, plus a variety of ducks. If you watch carefully, and for long enough, you might even catch sight of a heron which nests on a small island just off the banks of the Avon near the canal entrance.
Great for kids, and lots of photo opportunities at all times of the year !
